Go grab DiRT Showdown for free and check out some other cheap games in the Humble Store winter sale.

I personally tested DiRT Showdown for Virtual Programming and thoroughly enjoyed it. Probably their best port!

Some choice picks for you:
* Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - 67% off
* Life Is Strange - Complete Season - 75% off
* Chivalry: Medieval Warfare - 90% off
* Metro Redux Bundle - 80% off
* Battlevoid: Harbinger - 80% off

You can view all Linux games on sale sorted by discount here.

There is also an EXCELLENT (IMO) humble bundle going on - the Overwhelmingly Positive Bundle; Pony Island for free, Day of the tentacle on the next tier, and for 10 dollars you get VA-11 Hall-A - those three games are just great.

Also, you can get XCOM2 for 12 dollars when you subscribe to the monthly bundle (for the first time) - and ten percent off that if you bought the Overwhel... bundle first. And then, 10% off in the humble store (where there is a winter sale going on, oh right that is the topic here). Sick deals! If I had 100 dollars I could probably own like all of the games in the world :P

Edit: OH, and you can select Free Software Foundation or Free Software Conservancy as your charity of choice.

So, about Life is Strange. Trailers and videos make it look more like an interactive movie or a choose-your-own-adventure type of deal. Does it have recognizable adventure game elements at all, or is it more like the recent Telltale stuff in the vein of Walking Dead and The Wolf Among Us. Dialogue puzzles or visual novel type dialogue choices? All I ever hear is people talking about the story and the time rewind gimmick.

Man... I feel guilty if I grab it for $0.00, while paying $80 or so for deus ex.
VP did a great job (still not finished though, no community access, and SR2 lacks some of the audio) with the saints row series.

If you don't already have DiRT showdown, now is your last chance to get it.

Word is the licensing is about to expire on them, which means they will no longer be available for sale. Just like Grid, DiRT3 and F1 (Grid also got given away for free just before its license expired):

Just had a look at your Info specs. 8GB RAM, Core i5, and GTX 560. I don't think you'll have problems managing with Mad Max on your current rig as long as you don't set the graphics quality too high. Also, note that it only takes a graphics card to take you up a notch. GTX 1050ti 4GB is nice, cheap, and low power.

Quoting: SalvatosCrap, wish my rig could play Mad Max. At this price I'm tempted to buy it anyway, but it will likely be years before I upgrade again so I will surely have other opportunities.

I'm tempted to get the Shadowrun bundle, though. I've yet to play anything in that universe and it has intrigued me for more than a decade now.

Thanks for taking the time to look that up :) I'm looking to buy a car, so I definitely won't be investing in gaming for a while even if it's just the GPU. I'll just bide my time, I'm used to it :)

Got free DiRT key. Is this game eON/Wine port? I'm surprised: game works like a charm, more ports like this one.

It's a port by VP, so eON. Works fine indeed and is plenty of fun.
