Well, that didn't take long did it! The RPG GOKEN [Steam] is now available on Linux after user requests were made, the developers decided to do it.

On the 28th of July, I personally posted on Steam asking about Linux support. Then reddit picked it up, then we covered it and here we are with Linux supported officially as of yesterday. Not a bad turn-around at all, so hopefully plenty of people who requested it actually buy it.

Keep in mind that the game is in Early Access, so it's not finished and bugs are to be expected.

About the game
QuoteSeamless open-world game mechanics
While the game features a rather old school “quarter view” mechanic, the map transitions and event scenes, even the combat is all seamless as can be to enhance the overall gaming experience.

Real time strategic action battle system
Utilizing 2 primary attack buttons, users can assign different weapons to each button to create a unique combo that fits the users need as they go. Monsters, bosses and stage gimmicks can require a specific type of weapon at times creating opportunities for users to strategize their best route of approach.

Customizable Tattoo system
Utilizing "tattoos", users are given specific points upon leveling to get the protagonist inked as a form of powering up so it could be built to one’s own. Raising MAX HP and Stamina, learning new and special moves are just a few of many ways players are able to customize their character depending on their play style.

YES!
I just wish I could buy keys so I didn't have to add "friends" to gift the game.
Might have to hire a private detective that checks if ppl only plays it on Linux anyway though :P

I'll be picking this up. It looks beautiful. Might even break my no-EA rule for this as it looks pretty complete.

Got it. It works without any problems and is quite fine game.
Combat is a bit sluggish since you can't properly interrupt animations and it seems to queue buttons somewhat so sometimes by smashing buttons you make a combo even though you don't touch buttons after the first hit at all.
Options are nonexistent and default gamepad config uses B as accept and A as cancel which causes many, many misclicks.
Still I like it quite a bit.

Plugged in the PS4 controller and it shows the wrong cancel and attack buttons since I switched the profile. The X screensaver also popped up in the middle of the game so had to turn that off.
Other than that it runs great and looks good. Not far into the story yet though.

Probably going to look into getting this when I get paid later this month. I've racked up a bit from cards to give me a reasonable discount.
