Hey look another building game! World of Castles [Steam] seems to be a little different though, as it blends in strategy gameplay too.

You will not only be building your castle, but you will also be sent into combat with your army against other players. So it blends a castle building game, with strategy and action all under one roof. It mixes top-down and first-person views, for different styles of play it seems during the actual battles. You can directly fight and give orders, which actually sounds pretty good, if the mechanics of it are good enough.

I'm not 100% clear on the details, since I don't find the description entirely all that clear, but it is an online game that will have some sort of campaign mode to go along with it too.

It releases into Early Access on September 16th, so not long to find out. I've reached out for review keys, so hopefully we can let you know what it's actually like in due time.

They seem to be trying to blend Chivalry and Minecraft.
Good that they have a functional beta.
Curios how it plays though outside of tech demos/staged battles.

Its like another version of medieval engineers, which is slowly progressing.

If this game is as fun as Reign of Kings was before I started avoiding Windows, maybe it could fill that void! I don't like to pile too many sandbox / building games into my library, but RoK is one I own that I wish ran on Linux.
