Great work by Feral Interactive and Io-Interactive as HITMAN - Game of the Year Edition is out and there's no delay with the Linux support.

Here's what the GOTY edition has:

  • The complete first season: All six intricate locations brimming with opportunities, weapons, disguises, and of course targets to eliminate.
  • The Patient Zero mission arc: Four new missions based around a plot to spark a global virus pandemic.
  • Three new Escalation mission packs: The Raven Pack, The Cowboy Pack and The Clown Pack each features its own suit, mission, and a killer reward to add to your arsenal.

Honestly, it's one of the best games available for Linux. I remember sweating through a 2 hour livestream trying to do a single mission and it was worth every second.

You can grab it now from Steam and the Feral Store.

Bring on Season 2!

Quoting: BeamboomThis game here should be in every Linux gamers library, for so many reasons.
I’ll buy it when it’s avalaible DRM-free on GOG or Humble.

I don't see that happening anytime soon. Don't think I have ever seen any of these "games as a service" always online games on GOG. Don't see how that could work either, unless they took out the online aspect.

HITMAN is not exactly always online. You can play all the main missions offline. You need to be online for escalations, user made missions, elusive targets, and, of course, online leaderboards.

What a beautiful surprise. I just update my initial Linux release version to the GOTY edition.
Cool to go back to the agency business ;).

Quoting: Geppeto35Thanks Feral for porting! I will buy it (if i understand if it's different from what i already bought?) in your store, as usual.
See https://www.feralinteractive.com/en/news/825/
"If you already own some HITMAN content, buy from Steam to complete your Game of the Year set."

The extra campaign (Patient Zero) plus the three new escalation mission packs are new compared to the original Linux release.

I would be totally OK with an offline DRM-FREE copy!

Thank you Ferral! Bought it from Steam for full price (in Russia it costs ~22$)!

Day one buy. Bought it from my phone and then played it on Linux so that Feral gets my bucks

Same here. I've ditched my Windows version of Hitman for now, until the time window for Feral to get their cut expires (about 2 weeks apparently).

This is pretty sad... On a steam machine it's 61.51 euro if you already have hitman with all the episodes. If I would actually buy it on the steam machine it would result in 58.31 euro.
Now if I look at the website and search for it, it says in the listing 58.31 euro, but on the page itself it says 18.38 euro (20% discount). It lists a price for every item, while on the big picture version all prices are 0.
It feels like the steam store is bugging again, in the same way it was bugging with payday 2. Only with payday 2, it was also on the website completely broken, requiring those that bought almost every dlc to put down another 44 euro due to the 50% discount.
I also still can't even look at the F1 2017 page from the steam machine...
