By - | Views: 12,651

This is your once a month reminder to make sure your PC information is correct on your user profiles. A fresh batch of statistics is generated on the 1st of each month.

You need to be logged in to see when you last updated your PC info!

You can see the statistics any time on this page.

PC Info is automatically purged if it hasn't been updated, or if you don't click the link to remain in for 2 years. This way we prevent too much stale data and don't hold onto your data for longer than required. If this is still correct and it has been a long time since you updated, you can simply click here to continue to be included. If this isn't correct, click here to go to your User Control Panel to update it!

Quoting: scaineWho the hell is this absolute mentalist? Utmost respect, if not trolling...

Picture of stats showing that one user has 12 monitors

Edit to add... holy cow, there are THREE such people. Three. smh.

Are you alright scaine?

Well, I'm clearly 11 monitors short of "alright", but otherwise fine, I suppose.

Well, to be fair, if you want to run all 12, you'd also need two extra GPUs.

Quoting: amataiCould you do store statistics again ? That was very interesting and that would let see the big trend. I'm very curious about the relative result of GoG vs Steam and Steam vs 3rd market store and how many Linux User use Epic + Wine (still have not dare doing that despite the free games, I'm still shy about using proton too extensively).
Not opposed to it but it would need careful wording, since this is something that people don't update every month.

Happy to take suggestions.

"Which store did you use last year" maybe ? Or in the last 3 month. Or In "Which store would you consider buying game". The updating stuff makes the wording very important.
Maybe it's a statistic to do yearly during the Gaming On Linux award. Aside from which is your favorite game of the year asking how many games do you purchase this year and in which store.

Quoting: CorbenBut if the question would be more like: where did you buy games in the last month? And then you select the stores you used to buy something. And with buy I mean actually paying money, not grabbing the free EGS game.
But i don't buy games every month... Maybe it would be better "last year"?

Fun too see that kde is so popular for gaming its even passed gnome, I normally use xfce for the best game performance, however with gnome 40, gnome is just as fast for gaming as xfce, so I switched to that.

Imo proton and vk are among the best things (if not the best) that could happen (and happened) to linux gaming in the past years. I recently started playing kc:d via steam, which uses proton. I have 50+ hours now and i cant complain. It just works great (for me). I love it.

Sure. But transitioning from "no tux, no bucks" to "no tux, bucks" will take a few year more for me before feeling natural.

I've mentioned it before, but for me Proton can mean "no Tux, some bucks." Without Linux support there's no way they're getting full price, but if they haven't made their game not work in Proton then there's a chance they could get a couple of quid. More if they've committed to keeping it working, rather than having it work by accident and stop working at some point in the future by accident.

That's a great point. Every single game I've bought that's Windows-only has either been through Humble Choice or an absolutely mahooosive sale on Steam. Like 75%+ sale. Meanwhile, I'll generally pay full price for a Linux native game.
