Valve show off exclusive Steam Deck case for 512GB model

By - | Views: 18,104

While all variants of the Steam Deck will come with their own case, the top-end 512GB model will include a slightly different design and Valve has now shown it off. It's not overly exciting and the tweaks to it are pretty minimal but still looks pretty stylish.

Valve say that the casing is functionally identical it's just a cosmetic difference with the Steam Deck logo being a different colour, the zipper pulls are different, the fabric inside is different and the addition of a microfiber cleaning cloth plus a a separate drawstring pouch for the power cord.

For some reason that shot on the upper left with the case closed makes it look way longer and skinnier. Must just be the perspective, I've seen the shots of it in people's hands so I know roughly how it looks, but...huh.

Yeah, we've got a couple of Anker external batteries here, and they're solid bits of kit.

Quoting: QuinnThose bags are pretty ubiquitous, so it's not surprising to see Valve using them.
It's the same. Same material, same closing toggle, same label. They could just be using Anker's upstream bag manufacturer and getting someone else to make the power deelie, but why bother?

The power adapter and cable is manufactured by Quanta Computer, not sure who makes the little bag. I have around 10 of them, all from different companies but all the same material/design.
