The Wandering Village gets a big Ocean Update and you can win a key

By - | Views: 31,107

The Wandering Village is a wonderful city-builder where you're building on the back of a massive creature. Currently in Early Access, Stray Fawn Studio just released a big watery upgrade. With Native Linux support and a Steam Deck Verified status, it's an easy choice to recommend from my own time spent enjoying the idea.

With the Ocean Update out now it's added a whole new biome to wander through, building upgrades, new decorations, a hostility modifier system, new buildings, new events, new locations and much more. Check out the new trailer below:

They have a lot more planned to add into the game including new biomes, improved villager AI and an improved happiness system, flying merchants to trade with, birds you can tame, more buildings, more events, more locations and the list goes on. Lots of good systems in place they can keep expanding on so I'm keen to see how much more they add in but it's already a really fantastic combination.

Want to win a key? The developer kindly gave two to give away. To enter just leave a comment to say why you wish to win a copy of this game. Giveaway closes 9PM BST, Monday - July 24th.

If you wish to grab it now it's also 25% off on Steam until July 27th.

Why would I want to win a key? I have a strong interest in city builders, that for sure ;) and I'm already keeping a close eye on this game's development during Early Access. If I were to win a key, it would be a great opportunity not only to watch the game but also to explore on my own.

I would be interested in this game. It looks like a game that might captivate me and some of my build-sims enjoying friends. I will be interested to review, check out for a friend that is seeking to find some safe game titles.

It's just a beautiful setting for adventures and stories. What will life be, when the children are grewing up on a giant? What will the children play on Onbu? What stories are there to tell for the little ones? Are they revering him (or her?) as a god? Will life be full of work or will they have time for joy and entertainment as well? These questions are striving me to explore the game at its core. Maybe I will write some small fan-fiction as I already did with other games. But I'm always reading, every day, and I'm a little bit frustrated that the day only have 24 hours and I need to choose about playtime and reading time.

I would like to win a key cause I'm pretty hesitant to buy early access games these days cause a lot never get done or so much changes before they're done you don't really like the final product. (industries of Titan anyone?) And this games concept looks pretty great.

Something about living in harmony on the back of a giant beast sounds relaxing.
