GuliKit reveal SNES styled dock for Steam Deck and other handhelds

By - | Views: 28,422

Still in the market for a dock for your Steam Deck or whatever other handheld you have? At Gamescom, GuliKit revealed a pretty slick looking SNES styled retro dock for you.

It's not on the market yet, so you can't buy one. Although it is due to release sometime soon but they're not saying exactly when or giving a price just yet. The wide compatibility is nice as they say it works across the Steam Deck, ROG Ally, Nintendo Switch and Ayaneo handhelds.

Pictures from GuliKit:

Dock Features:

  • USB-C Out
  • USB-C In
  • 3 x USB 3.0
  • 1 x HDMI out
  • Gigabit Ethernet

Looks pretty slick, and is mighty tempting me even though I have many docks already. But one more couldn't hurt when it looks this cool right? Collecting random tech is not a problem is it? Don't answer that.

It also has a fun cover and space to store some memory cards as well:

You can follow for their news on the GuliKit store.

Card storage and usb ports at front wouldnbe nice.
Could wire up a hub and sacrifice a usb port for four more ports up front.

Not a bad design but for the price it'll likely be I'd like more functionality.

I'd reqlly like to see a veritical dock

Quoting: shadow1w2Four USB ports in front would be nice even if it had to reroute a USB port in the back for it.
Two back USB ports would be enough perhaps.
As much as I have nostalgia in the SNES I would like to see a Sega Genesis/Sega CD/Saturn styled one some day.

I suspect the price will be a bit high though so can't say I'd impulse buy one but if it's compact enough I could find it useful in travel.
Tower of Power version!

Yes, thousand times yes!
