Wine 9.1 released starting off another year of development

By - | Views: 32,401

Following the stable Wine 9.0 release recently, we've just now had the Wine 9.1 development release kicking off another year and starting the road to Wine 10.0 since they do one stable Wine release each year.

The highlights of Wine 9.1 are:

  • A number of Input Method improvements.
  • Improved Diffie-Hellman key support.
  • Better Dvorak keyboard detection.
  • Various bug fixes.

42 bugs were noted as fixed with this release including issues solved for: Lego Racers, Lost Planet demo, Dead Rising, Unigine Heaven Benchmark, Emperor - Rise of the Middle Kingdom, Forza Horizon 4, MAMA and lots of miscellaneous fixes for Windows app behaviour.

Is there anything you're hoping to get fixed up in Wine soon?

Honestly? Not anymore. At this stage I expect games to support Wine rather than the other way round...

What a reality to live in.
