REMATCH is an upcoming Football game from Sifu developer Sloclap, that feels very much like Rocket League but actual Football. A Beta is live now on Steam which you can request access to via the Steam Playtest.

Thankfully, it appears that Easy Anti-Cheat is fully enabled for Proton so players on Linux, SteamOS / Steam Deck will be able to play. I've had no issues getting into games today to test it out. Which is great, because there's a number of popular games with anti-cheat that block Linux platforms. REMATCH could easily be the next big multiplayer game, so this is awesome to see.

However, to keep expectations in check, this currently working status could change between the Beta and full release (we've seen that happen a few times). I did reach out to the developer and publisher and their PR team and no one has replied to me on it.

On Desktop Linux (Kubuntu 25.04) there's been no problems. It's incredibly smooth and looks great. A little challenging to learn though, quite a few different controls but genuinely seems like a lot of fun to play.

Playing it on Steam Deck with default (all Low) visuals, in a 3v3 match it seemed to keep a near solid 60FPS.

Testing a 5v5 (the max player count) on Medium settings on Steam Deck, it was still surprisingly playable, although the performance was a fair bit lower at around 40-50FPS.

Hopefully the anti-cheat will remain enabled once it's out fully on June 19th. Will keep you updated on any changes.
