Rogue Worlds is a new free chaotic tactical roguelite platformer that's a spin-off of Aura of Worlds, a paid bigger game from developer Cognitive Forge. It looks really good and can't argue with that price.
Here, the environment is your toolkit and your key to salvation. You'll outwit deadly traps, swing across dangerous gaps, wield the strength of enemies against them, and turn hazards into chaotic advantages at every turn. The game has Native Linux support and is Steam Deck Verified.

On the subject of how it's connected to their previous games, Aura of Worlds, they said "Rogue Worlds offers a focused, free start to the creative survival gameplay that defines Aura of Worlds. While it stands on its own, it’s also part of a larger, evolving universe, with Aura of Worlds receiving ongoing content updates, expanded biomes, new items, challenges, and more surprises still to come. Progress made in Rogue Worlds carries over to Aura of Worlds, allowing players to seamlessly continue their journey with unlocked gear, rescued allies, and upgraded options intact. Whether you’re discovering the series for the first time or jumping in from the full game, Rogue Worlds is a fast, flexible, and chaotic entry point built to reward experimentation and improvisation."
So it's sort-of like a really big demo, but also not a demo because it stands on its own. A smaller free companion game that can be played by itself.
