Cyber Knights: Flashpoint is the latest game from Trese Brothers, bringing some excellent squad-based tactics and it's out now. After tons of updates during Early Access, what we have is an impressive and feature-filled strategy game that blends in elements of XCOM and stealth games.

The game also takes on some of the spirit of other great games like Shadowrun and Invisible, Inc., so if you like the sound of those too you'll feel right at here. As a Cyber Knight fitted with a powerful cybernetic spinal implant, you lead a crew as you continue building up your reputation and connections and go on various heists. Featuring grid-less movement, environmental cover, specialised overwatch, initiative manipulation, independent enemy unit AI and more.

There's a lot to enjoy with this one, especially with the depth of all the characters to upgrade and set up your squad exactly how you want. I've been looking for something to scratch the itch left by XCOM and this very well may be the one. You're in great hands with the Trese Brothers.

The full release comes with a second origin story to play through, new game character options, a new map, a raised level cap and a few bug fixes.

It has Native Linux support and Valve rated it Steam Deck Verified.

Cyber Knights: Flashpoint | Release Date: 17th October 2023

What is even more impressive is that the game launched in Early Access to not-so-great reviews. Now? Over 90% user score thanks to dedication, hard work, and listening to community. Amazing.

Trese Brothers, I played most of their games and I always admired the depth of mechanics they had. It was breathtaking sometimes. I tried Cyber Knights during beta on Steam Deck. Will try it again now when it's finally out :-)

YEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This has been an extremely eagerly awaited game for me for what seems like FOREVER!!! I am so happy it has hit release! Trese are no joke some of the best devs out there, ever. I know this'll be a great success for them and couldn't be happier! I didn't have time to get into it last night, but hopefully this week I'll be able to do some testing. This is the type of game though that's so deep, I know it'll suck up all my limited gaming time!

This makes me afraid, to be honest. emoji I wouldn't like it more complex than XCOM 2.
