Valve updated Proton Experimental for June 13th bringing more game fixes to Linux, SteamOS / Steam Deck to get Windows games running nicely.

If you already have it downloaded it will show up in your Steam Downloads as an update. Otherwise, you can search for Proton Experimental directly in your Steam Library. See my guide on all the different Proton versions for more info. There was also an update on June 5th if you missed it and Valve just hit 20,000 Steam Deck and SteamOS playable games.

Noted as now playable:

  • WRC Generations

General bug fixes:

  • Fixed a crash late in game in Crysis 2 Remastered.
  • Improved AVPro player compatibility in VRChat: fixed seeking, improved performance - less freezes and video playback should work in more cases than before.
  • Fixed Tiny Troopers Global Ops having focus issues when using Steam Overlay on Steam Deck.
  • Fixed built-in web browser in Banter.

Fixed Proton 10 regressions:

  • Ride 2 is playable again.
  • Warframe launcher should no longer have issues displaying titlebar elements.
  • Resident Evil 2 no longer struggles with switching full-screen resolutions.
  • Enshrouded no longer crash when refreshing server list.
  • OpenVR is working with 32 bit games again.

At some point soon we should see the next Beta of Proton 10 with Proton 10.0-2. As the last Proton 10 Beta update was over a month ago.
