If you wish to stress-test your Linux PC or your Steam Deck, it's now easier than ever thanks to OCCT. It released on Steam today with Native Linux support and a special optimized version for Steam Deck.

The Steam version is free but it has "optional non-recurrent purchase for users who want to unlock additional features or support development". Their team has also confirmed that an SSD test is planned and on the way but no exact date on that other than hopefully sometime this "Summer".

OCCT has tests for your CPU, GPU, RAM, PSU and more. It provides you with a special stability certificate for you, perfect for showcasing that new build.

Wonderful to see more tools like this arrive officially on Linux. Seems like it runs quite nicely on my Desktop (Kubuntu Linux) and my Steam Deck LCD. This is going to be really useful next time I build a new system or change an existing setup.

Here's how it would look doing it a test on Steam Deck:

I just tried it in Steam and it shows the banner, then crashes.
This is on the Steam Linux runtime 3.0, so it should provide a sane set of system libraries.

Running it directly on my Fedora system results in a segfault :-(
