Made with GZDoom, a fresh teaser for Fallout: Bakersfield has been released and now I'm excited all over again for it. Previously it had a teaser back in September 2022 which was a brief 55 seconds.
The new trailer is over 4 minutes long and notes it's a "'non-commercial 1993' Doom total conversion (GZDoom WAD)" in the description. The developer also gives special thanks to Dave Oshry, CEO of New Blood Interactive.
Check it out below:

No word on a release date, as the trailer has a release date bit at the end that quickly flickers from 2027 and 2025 and then flickers about again. So we really have no clue right now. Overall the trailer suggests it's about 60% done, so clearly a while away yet.
Modders will stop at nothing to make the most crazy things in GZDoom and I love it. Should hopefully be easy enough to get it working on Linux thanks to GZDoom's excellent cross-platform support.
I LOVE a good gzdoom project maybe moreso than most aaa gaming LOL. My best friend and I will get a six pack of beer, plop down on the couch, kick the kids out (sorry, we're going to turn off Bluey, it's time for Daddy and Scorch to violently murder a bunch of pixelated baddies), and stay up way past my bedtime!!! We just take turns on death. It's so much fun! Of course it helps we grew up at JUST the right time for Doom1 / Doom2. I remember trying to figure out what programs I could delete off my mom's 486 running DOS, so that I could free up enough hdd space to have BOTH doom1 and doom2 installed so if my friends wanted to modem deathmatch I could be ready in a heartbeat (MOM! DONT ANSWER THE PHONE OH MY GOD)
ok, sorry, got carried away there. I love a good gzdoom project! And this looks so awesome.
