That's all for June's top 50!

What have you been playing recently? I'm still completely hooked on REMATCH, I really do love it and it's perfect for the Steam Deck so I was surprised to see it all the way down at #64 for June. But I've also finally picked up It Takes Two, playing it with my partner with the Steam Deck docked to my main TV and so far it's been great fun.

I played through Old Skies, the Wolfenstein games, and Planet of Lana, with a little bit of Tempopo. The little one's played Spyro and Jelly Car Worlds.

On deck I've been playing Okami HD. I chose that to play in the garden (fleeing the indoor heat) because it's relatively bright and games like Little Nightmares are just to dark to play outside on a standard steam deck.

I bought the first Assassins Creed on a whim and enjoyed it alot more than I thought I would - I have the second lined up to get to soon. Currently close to finishing Red Dead Redemption and also liking it alot more than I expected to. I kinda dropped out of gaming for most of that gen and I missed some really good things.

Does streaming from my main PC count? Got extended time off for the upcoming holiday so I'm gearing up to finally start on Clair Obscur.

It does as far as I'm concerned, but doesn't for Steam's year-end stats.

I picked up Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller during the sale and it's pretty neat. The graphics during gameplay and in-engine cutscenes are a bit ugly and the characters' movements seem programmed rather than motion captured, with all the silliness that goes along with that approach... but overall it's been a great adventure game (no 'combine a cactus with a whoopee cushion to make a fragmentation grenade'-style puzzles) and the first of the 5 cases took me about 7 hours to solve, so if that keeps up I'm definitely going to get my money's worth out of it.

I've also bounced off Elden Ring, I'm just not enjoying it as much as Dark Souls 1 & 2. Either I'm just bad at reading the tells from the ER enemies or their attack patterns have a different rhythm than the DS 1 & 2 enemies.

Just finished off Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 (one of the best games I've played yet), and I am getting back into CrossCode. I've lost my saves, but since I've forgotten most of the game, I don't mind that much.

Dang, Helldivers in the top 25??! Incredible game, but how do people play that game so much on deck?? Between the complex button mashing and 720p I can only do a couple hours in that game before my eyes and wrists beg for mercy 😂 maybe I need to revisit my controls / graphics settings!!

Stellar Blade has consumed a lot of time, I'm already at 40 hours played, it's been great and it performs quite well on Deck.
