Valve put out a new Steam Beta for Desktop and SteamOS, here's all that's changed for the July 14th update. You need to opt into the Beta on your device to see these changes. Eventually they'll roll out for everyone in a stable update.

On the SteamOS / Steam Deck client side here's all the changes:

Steam Input

  • Fixed GameCube controllers getting PlayStation button prompts

Desktop Mode

  • Fixed the 'Browse Local Files' button in 'Game Properties' failing to open the system file browser.
  • More UI respects high contrast mode.
  • In high contrast mode, distinguish installed and uninstalled games more clearly.

Legion Go S

  • Added Joystick LED controls under Settings->Customization.

And then for Steam Desktop the changes are:

Accessibility

  • More UI respects high contrast mode
  • In high contrast mode, distinguish installed and uninstalled games more clearly

Steam Input

  • Fixed GameCube controllers getting PlayStation button prompts

Game Recording

  • Improved playback of high bitrate recordings
  • Fixed regression from last week's beta client where saved clips might fail to play.

Linux

  • Fixed the 'Browse Local Files' button in 'Game Properties' failing to open the system file browser.
