Palworld is now Steam Deck Verified and SteamOS Compatible

With the latest updates to the popular Palworld, Valve have now bumped it up to Steam Deck Verified and SteamOS Compatible.

The rating has been a bit up and down with it going Unsupported in January, and then back to Playable a day later. Now that it's rated Verified, Valve appear satisfied it no longer has any of these problems below that they listed previously:

  • Some functionality is not accessible when using the default controller configuration, requiring use of the touchscreen or virtual keyboard, or a community configuration.
  • This game sometimes shows mouse, keyboard, or non-Steam-Deck controller icons.
  • Entering some text requires manually invoking the on-screen keyboard.
  • Some in-game text is small and may be difficult to read.
  • This game requires manual configuration of graphics settings to perform well on Steam Deck.
  • This game does not default to external Bluetooth/USB controllers on Deck, and may require manually switching the active controller via the Quick Access Menu.

However, they do note one issue it still has, which is that it doesn't default to external controllers on Steam Deck so you need to change the controller order from the Quick Access menu. Apart from that, it should now work well since the huge Palworld - Tides of Terraria crossover update.

Does it have FSR3 support yet, or does one still need to mod that in?
