POSTAL 2 Redux gets a Steam page

By -

POSTAL 2 Redux was announced recently and now it has a Steam page ready for you to follow along for this upcoming Linux game. I've never really gotten far into the original so I'm looking forward to getting into a modern version of it.

As a reminder it's dropping Unreal Engine and going with Unity, with plans for Native Linux support too. Bringing with it the ultimate chaotic sandbox with enhanced visuals and physics, new weapons and more.

Feature Highlight:

  • High-res Textures & Dynamic Lighting: Paradise’s warped billboards and puddles of questionable fluid finally get the razor‑sharp grime they deserve.
  • No-load Streaming World: Sprint from one end of town to the other without a single elevator, door pause, or immersion‑breaker.
  • Smarter Crowds and NPCs: Civilians still snitch, cops still overreact, but improved path‑finding means riots spark faster and messier than ever.
  • Updated Arsenal: Weighty ballistics, rag‑doll dismemberment, and rounds that punch clean through unlucky bystanders.
  • Fully Propped and Destructible Environments: Stores, arcades, and alleyways are stuffed with physics‑enabled junk begging to be destroyed.
  • Champ 2.0: Pet him, sic him, or let him photobomb your next headshot; Paradise’s goodest boy finally earns his kibble.

“POSTAL 2 Redux is equal parts love letter and update to a certified gaming classic,” said Eric Masher, COO, Impact Inked. “We’re thrilled to play a part in bringing such an iconic and infamous game to modern audiences!”

You can also follow it on Kickstarter.

Finally RWS goes back to native games! Love to see it. Barring the company be found responsible for an orphanage exploding, definitely picking this one up on/near release.

Unity, eh? emoji Their native Linux ports don't usually fare well...
