With a spell system that somewhat reminded me a little of the amazing Baba Is You for how you change the world to win, the upcoming Rhell: Warped Worlds & Troubled Times looks damn fun.
With a semi-open world design you get to freely roam around, with the only limit being the current spell combinations available to you. You'll come across lots of different obstacles including blocked paths, hazards, movable objects and more that you'll overcome by unlocking different spells. What makes it really interesting (aside from the incredibly vibrant style) is the spell system itself. You get up to 40 different runes, and then craft unique spells by mixing keywords together. They said there's "over 102 million permutations in total" and so lots of ways to beat the open-ended puzzles.

“We’re excited to introduce Rhell, a fun puzzle adventure that encourages players to experiment, inspires creativity, and offers a fresh take on the puzzle genre,” said Simon Byron, Managing Director, Yogscast Games. “Alongside the depth of storytelling and puzzle-solving, players will feel drawn to Rhell's emotional development as she goes in search of answers and restores normality to the toon-like world.”
There's a demo available on Steam right now and it works perfectly with Proton 9.0-4.
