A competitive multiplayer game announced with Steam Deck support right away? Not something we see often! World of Tanks: HEAT has me cautiously interested.
It's from Wargaming Group Limited so it's going to be another free to play live service game full of micro-transactions, because of course it is. Hopefully at least it goes better than STEEL HUNTERS which they're shutting down, let's see how long this one lives. To be fair, Wargaming's other games are pretty popular.
Anyway, I thought it was still pretty neat to see Steam Deck mentioned directly along with other platforms at the end of the trailer. The trailer which, while in-engine, is not actual gameplay. So it's about as useful as glass hammer in terms of getting even the slightest idea if it looks fun or not.

They claim it will have no pay to win, hopefully they actually stick by that. More from their announcement:
Every vehicle in HEAT is piloted by an elite agent, each with their own backstory, playstyle, and unique active ability. Whether you're the type to hold the line, call the shots, or dive deep behind enemy lines, there's a role for you here.
