Free Lives, developers of Broforce and Terra Nil, have confirmed their next game Stick It to the Stickman is set to arrive on August 18th. It will enter Early Access first, with a full release due in approximately 12 months.

What is it? Stick it to the Stickman is a physics-based brawler where you fight minimum wage stickmen to become a CEO. Choose from hundreds of unique moves to construct the perfect combat machine, then battle your way to the top of the corporate ladder. The developers say you will "Fight other CEOs for the prestige of employing the CEO with the biggest muscles. Perform dubiously legal tasks critical to expanding the company, including stealing cars, suppressing protestors and kidnapping building inspectors—all in the name of profit".

Game Highlights:

  • Wild physics-based stickman combat featuring a vast array of brutal weapons and over-the-top special moves, including fireballs, chainsaws and katanas.
  • Combines multiple gameplay styles including platforming, brawling, autobattling, delivery, car theft, free-running and kicking people out of windows.
  • Play solo or with a ‘friend’ and defeat hordes of red stickmen to secure your promotion. But be warned: everybody else wants the job too.

Seems it will have Native Linux support again too as it was just added as "TBC" on Steam. If not, there's always Proton.

What a throwback!

Who remembers "Electric Man", the "Rage!" series, "Sift Heads" and the "Xiao Xiao" animations?
