I have fond memories of blasting through Star Fox 64 and Wild Blue might end up being the closest thing to it on PC.
The game was revealed originally back in the Humble Games showcase earlier this year, but we didn't have any actual footage until now. Developed by Chuhai Labs from Kyoto, Japan it was started by Nintendo veteran Giles Goddard who actually helped develop Star Fox. So this is really going back to their roots.

As an old Star Fox fan this brought a smile on my lips. GamingonLinux has really become my nr.1 place to find cool indie games in recent time. You are killing it @Liam :)

Please no early access hell like the other two StarFox-likes...

Nintendo has neglected everything outside their favorite 3 franchises.
After the disappointment of Selaco, whenever I see "X (new) game is like Y (old) game" I am pessimistic now.
Freedom Planet, and Ex-Zodiac didn't really cure my itch for a "Starfox" formula game.
Selaco didn't cure the itch for "Duke Nukem".
But to steelman, Stardew Valley did cure my itch for "Harvest Moon" and go on to make millions of dollars.
From the trailer, I have zero interest in the "art", "characters" and "story" -- seeing too much of that makes me concerned the mechanics might not make the game stand up and cure the itch.
I really hope you can mute or minimize the in game inter-character chatter too. All I want is to fly a ship around, blow stuff up, PvP Multiplayer, and if they made it possible to drive a Tank like in 64 that would peak my interest.
I hope the best, I think there is a multi million dollar market here like the void of Harvest Moon used to have before SDV, but it's gonna take a very special labor of love to be able to tap it.

I only remember reading Selaco being compared to F.E.A.R. not Duke Nukem.
Ex-Zodiac seems to have 11 of 15 levels done.

Y’all might enjoy Whisker Squadron: Survivor. Not really like Star Fox but kinda scratches that itch. Lots of fun and runs great on Steam Deck.
