Dicey Bugs is a cute looking roguelite bug-catching strategy game, it just released from ProdigalSon Games and has Linux / Steam Deck support.

A little different to other catching games, with you controlling both sides of the battles which is a little weird sounding at first. It's all about maximising what you want to achieve in each battle using your dice and your enemy dice, to grow your collection of bugs. The idea of putting them in little jars to capture them was a sweet touch I thought.

During the game you get to customize your team of recruited bugs along with what dice you take with you all in the name of gaining new abilities, chain attacks and more as you progress further to capture more elusive bugs.

There's also a demo available. The latest update to the game and demo in August before release added Steam Deck support, with it already having a Native Linux version.

If you love creature collecting and want a different kind of challenge - this is it.
