Crusader Kings III has now been out for 5 years and Paradox have done a mini-celebration, showing off some fresh stats from players. There sure are a lot of divorces going on and even more deaths.

“Five years have gone by so fast,” says Crusader Kings III Game Director Alexander Oltner. “We launched Crusader Kings III at the height of the Covid pandemic, so the last stages of development added an extra layer of pressure on the team. That the game has been such a success is testimony to both the hard work of my colleagues and the passion of the community at large.”

Here's the stats they released:

It's interesting to note that this is one of the last few games from Paradox to have Native Linux support, which they're no longer doing. We had Victoria 3 after it and they acquired Across the Obelisk (which already had Linux support) but that's it now, their games following and upcoming are Windows-only so you'll need Proton. Their most recent releases all have mixed to negative reviews too, so I'm hoping that Surviving Mars: Relaunched won't be a disappointment.

Crusader Kings III | Release Date: 1st September 2020
