GE-Proton 10-16 was just released which includes a fix for Star Citizen, and a Stellar Blade modding fix amongst various other internal upgrades.

It's mostly updating parts GE-Proton is built from like Wine, and the DXVK / VKD3D-Proton layers that actually translate Direct3D to Vulkan from the official upstream projects. All the bits that actually make Windows games run well on Linux systems.

All the changes are:

  • wine updated to latest bleeding-edge.
  • dxvk updated to latest git.
  • vkd3d-proton updated to latest git.
  • vkd3d updated to latest git.
  • dxvk-nvapi updated to latest git.
  • proton build updated to use latest sdk (steam runtime).
  • protonfixes: fix added for ue4ss mod for stellar blade.
  • added patch to workaround star citizen "unsupported os" popup.
  • etaash (em-10/wine-wayland) patches updated and rebased.

With all the different Proton versions it can get confusing so see the GamingOnLinux explainer on the different Proton versions and the GamingOnLinux guide to install GE-Proton to get started with it. Usually, you don't need GE-Proton unless it has some specific fix not available in Valve's official Proton.
