NVIDIA have released driver version 580.82.07 as the latest Recommended Driver for Linux gamers, with a few useful changes.

From the changelog:

  • Fixed a regression introduced in 580.65.06 that could cause Vulkan applications to hang on Wayland.
  • Added support for NVIDIA Smooth Motion on GeForce RTX 40 Series GPUs.
  • Fixed a bug that caused /sys/class/drm/.../enabled to always report "disabled" for NVIDIA GPU connectors.

This follows on from the NVIDIA 580.76.05 driver released early in August, replacing it as the latest Recommended Driver to be used for a stable experience.
