BALL x PIT is a ball-smashing brick-breaking action-packed roguelite that's releasing in October and it's now Steam Deck Verified. From Kenny Sun and Devolver Digital, this is one of the most promising games I tested during a previous Steam Next Fest.

Writing in a Steam announcement, they just confirmed that BALL x PIT is now Steam Deck Verified: "We’ve got some cool news to share: BALL x PIT will be Steam Deck Verified at launch on October 15! That means the game runs smoothly, looks great, and fully supports the Steam Deck’s built-in controls and screen. So yes, you can now take the balls anywhere. And we really hope you do".

It was popular, with it being the 12th most played game in June's Steam Next Fest. BALL x PIT sees you batter hordes of enemies with a barrage of projectiles that can be evolved, upgraded and combined to create all manner of overpowered synergies. Gather the riches of the pit to expand your homestead, generate resources and recruit unique heroes.

The status isn't live on the Steam page yet, but developers get notice before it goes public. So soon the Steam page will note it also.

A demo is still up so you can try it right now. The game releases October 15th.

I have a key for it ready to review, so expect some proper thoughts sometime around the release.
