Try out the demo for Yesterdreamt, a fresh twin-stick horrorvania

A sanity-as-a-resource metroidvania they're calling a horrorvania, Yesterdreamt seems interesting and now it has a Native Linux demo with Steam Deck support.

It was picked to be part of the Hungry Ghost Festival, and so they've updated it to improve visuals, new music and the Native Linux build that is "buttery smooth" on Steam Deck.

In Yesterdreamt, Sanity is your most precious resource that you need to protect from monsters. Have enough and you can spend it on magic, so it's all about risk versus reward. Movement is heavy, you have limited ammo and monsters will attack both your body and mind. It's all about learning the "rhythms to make it through" according to the developer. To help you in your quest you'll find "Conclave cards" scattered about the place to allow you to unlock up to sixteen different magical abilities "from transmuting bullets into igneous spheres and deceiving enemies with temporary illusions to rapid regeneration of wounds".
