Another new build of GE-Proton is here to improve compatibility for Windows games on Linux / SteamOS and Steam Deck. Pretty much as is tradition at this point, a hotfix follows a release since GE-Proton has no quality assurance testing on it which Valve's official Proton does.

Following on from the GE-Proton 10-22 release only a day ago the changes for GE-Proton 10-23 are:

HOTFIX:

  • import upstream fix for Killer Instinct crashing after match end
  • added fix for Heroes of Newerth Reborn not running after Juvio client closes
  • added protonfix for Ghosts n' Goblins Resurrection skill videos not playing
  • rebased patches to work with -Werror build option to match upstream proton's build options.

Are you confused on all the Proton versions and the difference between GE-Proton? Do take a look at the GamingOnLinux explainer on the different Proton versions and the GamingOnLinux guide to install GE-Proton to get started with it. Usually, you don't need GE-Proton unless it has some specific fix not available in Valve's official Proton.
