Here we go again, yet another hotfix release for the GE-Proton compatibility layer for running more Windows games on Linux / SteamOS and Steam Deck.
Following quickly on from GE-Proton 10-23 a day ago, GE-Proton 10-22 the day before and GE-Proton 10-21 little over a week ago. Seems the tradition continues with hotfixes, since GE-Proton has no quality assurance testing on it which Valve's official Proton does and so issues appear often in new releases. You generally only need it for very specific games as it's best to stick with Valve's official Proton.

Are you confused on all the Proton versions and the difference between GE-Proton? Do take a look at the GamingOnLinux explainer on the different Proton versions and the GamingOnLinux guide to install GE-Proton to get started with it. Usually, you don't need GE-Proton unless it has some specific fix not available in Valve's official Proton.
