Shiro Games have revealed they're giving their strategy game Northgard the Definitive Edition treatment in December, with a whole bunch of new content planned.

What is Northgard? A critically acclaimed real-time strategy game based on Norse mythology. Lead your clan, uncover the secrets of a mysterious newfound continent and defeat your enemies to conquer the Throne! Northgard Definitive Edition will be a major free update for all existing owners of the game - nice! The existing price has already been bumped up, with a special discount being planned for when the Definitive Edition actually launches on December 4th.

The Definitive Edition brings with it all this:

  • The critically acclaimed base game with several enhancements.
  • The new Valhalla biome.
  • Bifrost biomes for PvE and PvP play.
  • The Cross of Vidar expansion pack including the full campaign and Neustria - Clan of the Lion.
  • The first three clans ever released for Northgard.
  • A beautiful in-game gallery including alternate artwork, concept art, alpha and beta visuals, and much more.
