Valve have released a new release candidate build for the Windows compatibility layer Proton, with Proton 10.0-3 available for users to test. This will eventually be the new stable and recommended version of Proton.

All the changes listed below are tentative, and subject to change as it goes through quality assurance and some more testing. Additionally, most of the fixes were previously in either Proton Experimental or Proton Hotfix. This is also all on top of the changes that were pulled in for the previous Proton 10.0-2.

If you do plan to try it and want to give feedback, they're currently only looking for issues that broke between Proton 10.0-2 and 10.0-3.

How to try it? You need to have Proton 10 installed in your Steam Library, and then opt into the Beta on Proton 10.

Just a question: are those fixes really per game or is it "simply" a use case not handled by Proton so far and it's been apparent in a specific game?
edit: typo
Thanks for the answer, I'm now curious how they identify the games and probably versions of the games... time to attempt to read the code :)

Depends what exactly the issue was. Sometime's it's a general fix for Proton that affected specific games, sometimes it's a game needing a special type of workaround.
