A blast from the past returns in style, with Serious Sam 2 from Croteam recently getting a huge 20th Annviersary Update and now it has been Steam Deck Verified.

Part 1 of the update rolled out October 11th and Part 2 on October 27th. Across the updates the developer added in a load of Steam community items, they bundled the huge Renovation Mod mod into the game, gave it a big UI upgrade, improved controller support, lots of bug fixes and…it's quite a long list.

Thanks to all the upgrades to the UI, defaults and controller support it is also now Steam Deck Verified / SteamOS Compatible for you to take on the go. And, means it should work great with Proton on Desktop Linux PCs too. Valve bumped up the default to run on the upcoming Proton 10.

Great to see more classic games get upgraded to work well on modern systems.
