A nice surprise, Brick Rigs is another game that recently added Native Linux support and it's quite a popular choice along with it being highly rated. It has a Very Positive overall Steam user review score from close to 50,000 reviews.
The Linux support arrived in an update on October 17th, with the developer noting they chose to add support to "improve performance and stability by avoiding compatibility layers such as Proton or Wine". Interesting to see, something that we also saw with Baldur's Gate 3 and Cronos: The New Dawn, although those were specifically for the Steam Deck whereas this is just general full Linux support.
What is it?
Brick Rigs is a physics sandbox game that allows you to build, drive and destroy almost any type of vehicle imaginable. Whether it's a dragster, fire engine, forklift, helicopter, plane, train, ship or even a tank, you can probably build it in Brick Rigs.
You can also upload your creations to the Workshop to share them with the community. And if you don’t feel like building anything, you can just download any of the over 200,000 creations already uploaded by other players.
The multiplayer mode allows you to experience these physics together with your friends. You can organize races, demolition derbies, dog fights or emergency scenarios. The rules are up to you!
The update didn't just add Linux support, it also translated the game into 12 new languages. Plus they added AMD FSR support, and a number of other improvements and bug fixes.
The trailer is below, although it has no sound and it's quite dated at this point they don't seem to have any more that's up to date. They don't even list a YouTube anywhere I could find:
