Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is set for some major improvements, although we don't know exactly when but it will make surviving in it a whole lot nicer.
Eventually, they've confirmed recently, they will be adding in mid-run saves. So whenever you visit a shop, you'll be able to save and quit. Having to go through an entire run is a bit of a nuisance, so it's great to see that being solved. Still, I very much loved the game from the 1.0 release. On top of that, an endless mode is also in the works too. Posted in an official announcement here's what they said:
We’ve got something exciting in the works for you! In this Development Log, we want to tell you about a much-requested feature the team is working on: Mid-run saving.
So how does it work? When you quit the game, your progress will now start at the last shop you visited. That means no more losing a great run because your pet lootbug tripped over the power cable.
This feature is also related to the much-anticipated Endless Mode (yes, still coming). Runs in this mode can take a lot longer, and your decisions will carry even more weight, so being able to safely pause or recover after a crash on a late stage will make the experience smoother and far less frustrating.
It’s a feature that’s pretty seamless but has a big impact, and we can’t wait for you to try it out and tell us what you think. We’ll make sure to keep you posted on when you can expect this feature to drop in the future.
