The newer cross-platform Nexus Mods app is getting a lot closer to supporting games like Fallout 4 and Skyrim, with version 0.20.2 out now for testing.

Currently the app only has full support for Stardew Valley and Cyberpunk, with work ongoing towards Baldur's Gate 3, Mount & Blade II: Bannerlord, Skyrim and Fallout 4. They're building it up carefully, ensuring they have the features needed to future-proof it, and with Linux support it's going to be awesome for modders.

In this release they noted: "File conflicts—a common occurrence in modding games like Skyrim and Fallout 4—happen when multiple mods try to install different versions of the same file. With this release, we've added a new priority-based system that allows you to see and easily edit file conflict winners and losers using intuitive Drag & Drop controls. This gives you visual control over which mods and files take priority".

They've also added more context menus, fixed a corruption issue with downloads, fixed SMAPI (Stardew Valley) on Linux and fixed an exception that occurred when trying to open the logs folder from the App help menu.

This is shaping up. I'm definitely excited for more Skyrim, which is bizarre, cos I've played it to death by now! It might get me back into Fallout 4 though, which I've barely scratched the surface of.
