Schrodinger's Cat Burglar is a puzzle game with a cat that can be in two places at once, and that will no doubt confuse my brain. Not only does it look wonderful, but the developer added a Native Linux version of the game back in October to help improve it on Steam Deck too. They said that the newer Native build runs a lot smoother.
The game actually sounds great. The central quantum mechanic having you split into two cats at the press of a button, with each being controlled to solve puzzles. Seems like it gets a little confusing though as the developer notes the "quantum superstate obeys Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle - when nobody is looking, Mittens could be in either location. If she’s observed however, things get theoretical…".

Some Highlights:
- Brain-Teasering Puzzles - A host of cat-splitting puzzles, sending items and energy across theoretical spacetime and back again in time for breakfast!
- Full Customisation - Play dress-up and choose custom hats, cat breeds, accessories and of course - level of cat chonkiness.
- Play With a Friend - Have a friend join at any time in drop-in/out local coop, also compatible with Steam Remote Play Together.
- Unravel The Secrets of The Lab - What is this shady facility researching? What are the pest-control robots protecting? And who is this mysterious Shadow Cat…?
- Expanded Gameplay - Hidden areas, sneaky mouse-bots and tricky quantum shards for the more advanced puzzle fans out there – or if you just want to knock coffee off desks, you can do that too…
A demo is available that you can try on Steam right now. Love the look of it.
People have to remember that all IAgen models were trained on existing data. They *will* look like pre-existing art style; and not every model is "openai generic yellow old newspaper comics". Things are difficult enough without sending unsubstantiated claims on a feeling alone.
Just a quick note concerning the Key Art - it is most certainly human painted, not AI. The artist in question is Tom Williams - https://www.instagram.com/tomwilliams_art - he painted it back in 2022 when we first appeared at PAX Australia. We've had a few comments from people who are not keen on games using Generative AI.
I fully agree! We aren't using Gen AI at all, and we will never. I appreciate that people are concerned on this issue because they are defending the rights of real artists against what essentially is automated plagiarism.
We are in the process of updating our key art, and the new piece (again, by Tom) will likely be in a more 'comic book' style (similar to the prologue video in the demo). Hopefully this will put people's fears of Gen AI to rest.
Again, thanks for taking an interest in our game :)
