Primal Survival is an upcoming prehistoric game about surviving as Homo habilis or Homo erectus, and it really sounds interesting with the dangerous world.
At the dawn of human history, fire has just been discovered and you're taking steps into a wider world. That's the basics of Primal Survival, it's all about sending you back in time some 2.5–3 million years, where hunting for the basics like food and water is as dangerous as anything else.

Some things to expect from it:
- Paleo-Atmosphere: No zombies, no magic. Just a world populated by scientifically grounded megafauna like Mammoths, Smilodons, and Platybelodons.
- Archaic Struggle: There is no modern tech. You rely on stone, bone, and wood. It is about surviving nature exactly as early humans did.
- Visuals: We are using Unreal Engine 5.5 (Nanite + Lumen) to create a gritty, dark, and dangerous environment.
- Co-op: You can form a tribe with friends to build shelter and stand a chance against the ecosystem.
Speaking over email about Linux support the developer said:
Linux gaming is important to us, and we know your community values proper support.
We’re actively working to ensure the game runs well on Linux through Proton, and we’re paying attention to Linux-specific issues throughout development. Supporting Linux players is definitely part of our plans as we move toward the next phases.
But why another survival game? What's different about it? They said:
We wanted to move away from fantasy tropes and create a grounded, scientifically based prehistoric experience. Unlike many survival games where you quickly become powerful, our core philosophy is simple: You are not the hunter. You are the prey.
