In a recent showcase video, Capcom revealed that Monster Hunter Wilds is set for multiple patches that should bring some decent performance boosts.

Performance seems to be a constant problem for the game, even on a high-end PC it has been full of issues. Perhaps these upgrades might even make it just a bit closer to playable on Steam Deck too. As shown in the Monster Hunter Showcase December 2025 showcase video, a screen capture of their plans is below:

Title Update 4 is due out December 16, so it will be interesting to see just how far those listed upgrades will push the game. However, Title Update 4 is the "final large-scale update" for the game outside of a few technical patches they have planned as noted in the image above. So they'll be mostly moving onto other games.

All that and more in the video you can view below:

better late than never I suppose… the biggest culprit here must be the 2 DRM's they are running AT THE SAME TIME (Denuvo and Capcom Protector), and what's worse is that the game apparently checks every single texture going in and out of memory. Such a waste of processing cycles for nothing useful.

Shame on you Capcom for treating your paying customers so badly.
