Parking Garage Rally Circuit DX has been revealed today, greatly expanding the content of this popular retro arcade-style rally racer.

Currently, the DX version is only available to play via the browser on Wavedash. A service that was entirely unknown to me until the press email came in. With Parking Garage Rally Circuit getting Parking Garage Rally Circuit DX as a DLC on Steam next year. I imagine most people will simply wait for the Steam DLC in 2026, rather than pay to play the game in the browser and have pretty much zero ownership at all and have an internet connection required. At least with things like GeForce NOW - the games are still yours (as much as the licensing argument allows me to say they're yours - you know what I mean). Wavedash reminds me of the failure of Google Stadia…

What does the DX edition have? The developer said it doubles the content of the original release with a new European Tour adding 8 multistorey car parks to drift through on top of the original 8 American parking garages to make a total of 16 tracks. From the press release:

Visit multistory car parks in Paris (Art Car Park), York (York Castle Car Park), Turin (Car Factory), Montpellier (Double Loop), Hamburg (Concert Hall), Copenhagen (Power Plant), Geneva (Parking Tour) and Naples (Cave Park) as you drift and boost your way to victory in the single-player mode, or against other players online. These locations are all inspired by real multistorey carparks, though the odd underwater tunnel or falling stalactites may suggest a touch of artistic liberty. Do it all to a full new soundtrack from The Holophonics, the band behind the catchy tunes that graced the original game.

"What started as the idea of delivering a little more content for Parking Garage Rally Circuit has expanded into what is effectively a whole new game that doubles the size of the original,” said developer Tim ‘Walaber’ Fitzrandolph. “I’m really excited that Parking Garage Rally Circuit DX is part of the launch of a new platform in Wavedash that reduces friction and complexity for players to discover and play games like mine. I look forward to coming back next year with more news on bringing DX and the European Tour to Steam and console players.”

Any way turn off silly pixelated fiter? I cannot stand deliberate 5 gen console filter on modern 3D games.
