The excellent BALL x PIT is getting three major updates in 2026

One of my favourite games released in 2025, BALL x PIT from Kenny Sun and Friends / Devolver Digital has sold well enough that it's getting free upgrades. Devolver announced recently it hit over 1 million sales, and so they're getting Kenny Sun to make some more balls.

Three content upgrades are planned to release free during 2026 containing new balls, new evolutions, new buildings, new characters and a promise of even more things. When? Not that far off actually. Updates will arrive in January, April and then July.

BALL x PIT is a fast-paced fantasy roguelite where heroes must find the balls to plunge deeper into a seemingly bottomless pit of monsters. Develop arcane ammunition and resources in pursuit of treasure, recruiting additional heroes to aid you in your perilous quest.
