Mewgenics from Edmund McMillen and Tyler Glaiel is set for release on February 10th, and we have a fresh look at it in a new weird features trailer.
What the heck is it? Mewgenics is a roguelite about building up the ultimate cat army through tactical breeding and send them into deep, challenging turn-based adventures. Draft abilities, collect items, and manipulate genetics across generations. Considering who is behind the game there's a lot of excitement clawing for this.
Everything about it is a little bit strange, which we've come to expect from the creators of the likes of The Binding of Isaac, Super Meat Boy, Closure and The End Is Nigh.

Game Highlights:
- 200+ hour main campaign
- 10+ character classes with 75 unique abilities each
- 900+ wild items
- 200+ enemies and bosses
- Roguelite progression: never experience the same game twice.
- Choices at every turn. Money! Items!! And genes!! All matters.
It's probably going to suck away all of our time isn't it? Developer Tyler Glaiel even joked on Bluesky a few days ago that "YOU HAVE 2 WEEKS LEFT TO BE PRODUCTIVE".
Could easily be one of the biggest releases all year. I'm certainly looking forward to it.
