Ahead of Steam Next Fest which is quickly approaching, the creature collector standalone sequel EvoCreo 2 has a demo live now. Originally a popular mobile game series, the first arrived on PC / Steam early in January and this sequel looks pretty good if you love classic Pokemon styled games. It has a Native Linux version available too.
In EvoCreo 2 you will be investigating the mysterious disappearances of powerful creatures known as Creo as a new cadet in the world of Shoru. You get to capture and raise more than 300 distinct species of Creo, each with its own Shiny and Genetically Modified colour variants, to build your personalized battle party.
No full trailer is available for the PC version yet, but here's some shots:
Game Highlights:
- 30+ hours of offline story-driven gameplay.
- Over 300 Creo to capture, train, and evolve.
- No level caps on your monsters.
- Deep battle mechanics with hundreds of moves and traits.
- Competitive online battles and ranked matchmaking.
- Fully offline-capable — no internet required.
- Multiple color variants for every Creo.
I'm a complete sucker for these types of games, since growing up playing the early Pokemon games and anything that resembled them. So I might have to jump in on this one myself. Could be a fun one to take on the go with the Steam Deck or Legion Go.
