Another fresh release of the free and open source OpenRazer has arrived, with v3.12.0 adding support for even more Razer devices on Linux. Who needs direct vendor support with their bloated apps anyway? The community provides!

The list of devices supported by OpenRazer is already quite long, to the point that you should be able to buy mostly anything from Razer and get playing with it right away.

Here's all that's new in the latest release:

New devices

  • Add support for Razer BlackWidow V4 Tenkeyless HyperSpeed
  • Add support for Razer Mouse Dock Pro
  • Add support for Razer Huntsman V3 Pro 8KHz
  • Add support for Razer Kraken Tournament Edition
  • Add support for Razer Huntsman V3 Pro Mini
  • Add support for Razer Tartarus Pro

Bug fixes, improvements, cleanup, etc

  • Many typing improvements and cleanup in the Python library. Some of these changes can potentially have an impact on applications using the pylib,
  • Fix Blade 14 (2021) starlight effect ignoring color/speed parameters
  • Fix kernel warning when printing device_type for Razer BlackWidow V4 75%
  • README: Re-order so it reads logically
  • Enable horizontal scrolling support for Razer Pro Click V2
  • Add REL_HWHEEL support for the Razer Naga Epic Chroma
  • Fix broken game_mode_led for Huntsman V3 Pro TKL
  • Fix setting polling rate on Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro
  • daemon: Resume devices on exit

Pair it up with an app like Polychromatic and it makes tweaking all the settings seriously easy.
