It's not entirely clear exactly when it will release other than "later this summer", but Wanderburg is a game that simply needs to be on your radar. Written about here on GamingOnLinux back in February, I instantly fell in love with this one after trying the demo.

What actually is it? Wanderburg is a minimalist roguelike set in a strange medieval world where castles, fortresses and even villages are all on wheels (or tracks). Everything moves. You build up a modular arsenal piece by piece, gradually expanding into a massive devouring stronghold. It's a lot of fun to blast through!

You gain access to all sorts of modules to stick onto it from cannons to arcane towards full of wizards. It's quite comical really, and a lot of fun to blast through. And even a little frightening when you're just a small tower on wheels, and end up face to face with something massive with a mouth full of spikes pointed at you. All while you're dodging and crushing various people running around too.

The developers say it's "Fully playable with mouse, keyboard, or controller and highly optimized for almost anything you throw at it. Ready for potato".

I've installed the demo, I just have to find the time to try it out.
