I can't think why you might need a new Linux game right now but there's plenty of huge sales going on if you're interested in a new and fun experience.

Valve have today launched their Lunar New Year Sale, as expected. Absolutely masses of great games going for ridiculous prices.

On Steam, Paradox are also giving away the Sons of Abraham expansion for Crusader Kings II until January 27. Since Crusader Kings II itself is now free, stocking up on some other freebies is great to keep you going until Crusader Kings III releases.

Additionally, Humble Store announced their own Winter Sale Encore and they also have some excellent deals, as well as multiple bundles like the Humble Sweet Farm Bundle and the Humble Europa Universalis IV Bundle.

Need some suggestions? What's worth picking up? Here's a couple:

Just a few games I like, you likely already know what you're after though. I'm sure, like me, you all have wishlists full of games right?

Both Steam and Humble have their sales ending on January 27.

sadly the winter tokens don't roll over as they did last time. I had 2500 tokens that I did not spend thinking that they will roll over.

PikuNiku is on for a stupidly low price. Definitely worth it for anyone who likes creative platformers. Difficulty level not too high and it is quite funny. Probably even good for a younger audience, although some parts might need adult assistance.

advertising on

game i enjoy from years
not for all and still in beta state (old-style PvE grinding MMO) but fun for those that fell nostalgia for like 90' MMO

advertising off :P

have demo to try, so not rush to buy, i strongly recommended starting from trying demo.

Do you guys have full wishlists i struggle to find anything in the sales, anything i really want i already have I have 3 games on my wishlist and truthfully the only reason have not pulled the trigger on them is because even with the sale discount they are not priced at what i believe they are worth. That said may pickup Doom as its less than a fiver and everybody keeps raving about it.

strange think is that from some time when i see sale on steam and see again game at sale for -45% (12 time from whem i added it to wishlist) i feel like this -40% is normal price (becase its more often at this price than 'full price' and i will count this one game as sale only when i go for morre than -40%) and many others game similar way.

Maybe becase gams now are too often on sale most time at exactly same vale
Game full price: 100$
saw it more than 15 times on sale in last year at ~50$
saw only ONCE at sale at price: 35%
so i think like game normal price is 50$
sale price is 35$
and when i saw this one time sale -65% i feel like is treu sale but 'only' -30%(-30% (-30% from 50$ = 35$) NOT 65% from 100$ like store try to convince me))
