Must remember to change my monitor settings next month, since I've finally got a second monitor on its way after almost 5 years of doing without.

I've updated my profile to reflect that I'm using Wayland now. Aside from a couple of niggles (notifications cause flickering when in a full screen app such as mpv, steam notifications appearing as all black when Steam is closed to systray {fix}, selection buffer/clipboard behaviour being inconsistent between Wayland-native windows and XWayland windows), the experience has been smooth enough that I've not felt the need to revert. I've even switched to sddm-git so I can do away with X running at all.

KDE developers know about this bug. I think it happens with fullscreen video specifically. Doesn't happen for example with Wine games.

Good to see AMD GPUs usage finally almost catching up to Nvidia! In a few months it will probably get ahead :)

Wow. I'll probably be adding to the AMD-swing sometime next year when I see about upgrading my (by then ~4 year-old) GPU.

I also wonder how (if) the Intel market share is going to be changing in the near future with their new GPUs.

The driver situation will probably flip next week already, with FLOSS getting ahead of proprietary ones.

Especially since their Linux drivers are not in as bad a state as the Windows drivers.

PSA: For any Steam Deck users who selected Handheld as their main gaming machine in the first three months since release, there is now also a separate entry for the Steam Deck (because this is GamingOnSteamDeck now).

Same here, I will (finally !) upgrade to a 6700XT in a few weeks
