This is the public once a month reminder to make sure your PC information is correct on your user profiles. A fresh batch of statistics is generated on the 1st of each month. Also a good reminder of our stats system for people who don't know about it. You can see the statistics any time on this page.

You need to be logged in to see when you last updated your PC info!

PC Info is automatically purged if it hasn't been updated, or if you don't click the link to remain in for 5 years. This way we prevent too much stale data and don't hold onto your data for longer than required. If this is still correct and it has been a long time since you updated, you can simply click here to continue to be included. If this isn't correct, click here to go to your User Control Panel to update it!

Silverblue and immutable/hermetic /usr/ operating systems are the future. First, Steam Deck. Next, GNU/Linux desktop as a whole!

This is my first time hearing about it. What kind of issues do you have?

Yeah i bought it because it was said to be working well out of the box, too ;)
It wouldn't connect properly in switchmode and constantly vibrate (and not work in some games) in PC-mode.

I've already narrowed it down a bit (thanks to the awesome xpadneo dev, too: https://github.com/atar-axis/xpadneo/issues/391 ) that is has something to do with interference from xpadneo.

So when you don't have xpadneo installed (that i need for my xbox series controller though) and connect via switch mode, it indeed seems to work fine from short tests. Connected in PC mode without xpadneo (so using hid_microsoft module) works fine, but has no vibration. And xpadneo loaded with a quriks flag (for disabling rumble in the triggers as far as i understand) gets rid of the constant vibration, still has no vibration in games though and makes it so some games don't pick it up at all...

Very strange all in all ^^

What about adding an option for Steam Deck ownership and which version?

This. Right now it is my main gaming device but I would feel silly filling out the hardware details manually. Besides, it is my main gaming device but not my main Linux machine which I also use to game (actually the stats would be kinda boring if we start counting SD this way).

I would like an additional question:

Do you own a Steam Deck ( or any other Linux powered handheld gaming device)?
1. No
2. Yes, as a complement to my main machine
3. Yes, as my main gaming device
4. Yes, I use it for EVERYTHING

This is the first month in a long while where my PC info changed. Increased my RAM, upgraded my GPU, swapped EndeavourOS for Kubuntu, and swapped my PS5/DualSense controller for a Stadia controller.

Say what you will about Stadia...I'm no fan of cloud gaming myself, but the Stadia controller is actually quite good.

I just realized i still had "HTC Vive" as PC VR headset, while i switched to Oculus Quest 2 some times ago.

I think it should be added on the list, since it's currently the most popular headset out there, even if doesn't officially support Linux, and unofficial apps still have lots of improvements to do.

Maybe it could convince Meta to add Linux support in the future... (i don't see this happening anytime soon, if ever, but who knows)

Where Nobara? It's too glorious to not be included.

This post is really interesting to discuss on first of the month, when new chunk of statistics is published. Still waiting for AMD GPUs to overtake Nvidia :)
