The big cross-over mod Lambda Fortress that puts the Team Fortress 2 mercenaries into Half-Life 2 and other Source campaigns is coming to Steam.

Quite a surprise. 1047 Games recently launched the free to play Splitgate 2 in Beta on Steam, initially with their anti-cheat RedKard blocking Desktop Linux but allowing the Steam Deck with SteamOS. Now they've tweaked it to allow Desktop Linux players in.

Splitgate 2 brings back the free to play FPS with portals from 1047 Games, with a Beta now available. However, it's another game that will not work on Desktop Linux, only the Steam Deck.

GSC Game World have released the S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition now which includes S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chornobyl - Enhanced Edition, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky - Enhanced Edition and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Prypiat - Enhanced Edition.

GSC Game World have just announced S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Legends of the Zone Trilogy Enhanced Edition that will launch on May 20th with enhanced versions of Shadow of Chornobyl (2007), Clear Sky (2008), and Call of Prypiat (2009). They will be coming with various upgrades and Steam Deck support too.

Valve are on a bit of a roll lately with multiple nice Team Fortress 2 (TF2) updates coming in to fix up various issues. The latest changes the networking options for making your own game, allowing you to set who can join it.

With DOOM: The Dark Ages about to release for everyone on May 15th, and with Advanced Access available, it seems it needs some workarounds to run on Linux with AMD GPUs. This is likely what Valve already solved in SteamOS for Steam Deck.

Crowbar Collective just released a major update to their Half-Life remake Black Mesa, which includes a whole lot of improvements to celebrate their ten year Steam anniversary. There's a lot of upgrades for Linux / Steam Deck players here.

Just recently, Valve updated Counter-Strike 2 to entice players to keep coming back with a new permanent weekly mission system. Additionally, a just released update improves the game on Linux with Wayland.

Valve have released the latest small update to Team Fortress 2. Following on from the update released at the start of May, it's another that pulls in some community-provided fixes thanks to the source code being available as part of the Source SDK update.

Open Fortress is a mod for Valve's Team Fortress 2 and now it's getting a standalone release on Steam, thanks again to Valve adding the TF2 source code to the Source SDK.

Ahead of the release of DOOM: The Dark Ages on May 15th, Valve have released an update for SteamOS for Steam Deck to get it to actually run.

Killing Floor 3 was originally due to release in March, but feedback was pretty bad from their Beta and so they delayed it to rework various parts of it. Now, it's set for launch on July 24.

A blast from the past, although not too well-known. Originally from Maelstrom Software and Future Visionary, The Fortress of Dr. Radiaki - Fancy Edition is a fresh upgraded re-release of the 1994 game from ZOOM Platform Media that's out now.

THE FINALS has a repeating issue where major updates will break it in some way, with the latest update causing the game on Desktop Linux / Steam Deck to freeze a few minutes into a match.

Back in February, Valve released the source code for Team Fortress 2 (TF2) into the Source SDK, which allows modders to see how it all works and get their standalone mods onto Steam. But also, it allows them to fix up issues directly in Team Fortress 2.

Gearbox and 2K have announced that the release date for Borderlands 4 has moved up to September 12th and there's a new gameplay trailer to go along with it.

Oh hey, a new Team Fortress 2 (TF2) mod that's coming to Steam and it sounds like a lot of fun. PASS Fortress is one to watch.

The inspiration is obvious to anyone who has seen classic Disney cartoons on this one and I'm all for it. MOUSE: P.I. For Hire looks like a lot of fun and the latest trailer shows off more weapons.
